Thermal Hair Conditioning is expensive but a permanent method that lasts for 1 year, after which the re-grown hair can be treated. Blow dryers are used after shampooing to add more body to the hair. Steadily becoming popular, only an experienced hair stylist should do it. This method taking between 4 to 8 hours, is inapplicable on curly hair and also hair which has undergone chemical treatments.

Hair straightening irons are used to straighten the hair. The hair is straightened by applying heat directly. The wide plated irons can hold large sections of hair.
